I like the pretty lights...

Well I've been here in Pennsylvania for 3 days now. I'm having an awesome time. Tonight we went to the fair, watched the parade and the fireworks. We were up close to the fireworks, within a hundred feet or so. It's been great being here with Amelia. I miss her dearly, but this seems to have been a good move for both her and Joe. Love them, love being here, but I miss my boys.

15 and change...

It's was some 15 years and change. We were both 15 and head over heals. We had snuck off campus and headed to the park down the street. I could feel the butterflies in my stomach. I knew that it would be the day, the day of my first kiss. There had been other boys that had tried. I had always backed away. With him It was different. The difference was I thought I was in love. When we got to the park, we walked up this little hill. I still remember how nervous I was. I remember looking into his eyes and losing myself there. Then came the kiss. It was everything I had ever hoped for, everything I knew it should be. To this day he holds a piece of my heart. And sometimes when I close my eyes and think of that day I can still feel the butterflies, the touch of his lips and how it felt to lose part of myself in his eyes.

"Oh Very Young" by Cat Stevens

Oh very young
What will you leave us this time
Youre only dancing on this earth for a short while
And though your dreams may toss and turn you now
They will vanish away like your daddys best jeans
Denim Blue fading up to the sky
And though you want him to last forever
You know he never will
(You know he never will)
And the patches make the goodbye harder still
Oh very young
What will you leave us this time
There'll never be a better chance to change your mind
And if you want this world to see a better day
Will you carry the words of love with you
Will you ride the great white bird into heaven
And though you want to last forever
You know you never will
(You know you never will)
And the goodbye makes the journey harder still
Oh very young
What will you leave us this time
Youre only dancing on this earth for a short while
Oh very young
What will you leave us this time

10 million dollars

Stephen R. Jasinski Elementary School will open in the fall of 2007. No longer will our darling kindergartners have to use a roach infested restrooms or play on equipment that has been graffitied by the behavior class. Nope, for these lucky 100+ students we will be in a 10 million dollar school. Large classrooms, in class restrooms, and a playground right outside their class door are just a few of the things they will have. They will have the worlds best principal, one Mr. Corey Christiaens. On board are two of the finest teachers I have ever met, Jane Lotts and Tonya Kemmer. I have the honor of joining what promises to be an amazing staff.

Today we got to go mark our territory. lol. On the cement where our flooring shall lay, we spray painted our names. We also got to choose our classrooms.

Well in case you haven't noticed I am excited and very happy. For those of you close to me, you know that my job is anything but work, it is a passion for me. In the year to come I see many wonderful things. I pray that all my friends and family will be as blessed as I am.

Have I lost my mind?

Maybe. We have decided to have another child. We know our son is almost thirteen and we would lose time together, time alone, and time to sleep. However we are going for it. I want two more, Raul wants one. Anyways, I'm excited.

As I said in my profile I have a job that I love working with Kindergarteners. We just returned from Spring Break and I gotta say, I missed the kids so much. I have recently visited my niece Phiona and there is just something about kids their age. Their exuberance and belief that all is well in the world is just amazing Anyways, here are some pictures of the little devils, oops I mean angels.

Not yet enough...

I have my livejournal, I have my myspace, so why not one more place for me to rattle on about nothing. I'm starting this blog, well, just because. Just a little something about things going on here out in Neverland (Buckeye).
